The List: Tennessee among top states for clean energy projects

Companies announced more than 80 clean energy and clean transportation projects in the third quarter of 2013 that together could create more than 15,000 jobs. The top states with projects announced or under construction this summer include:

• 1. California, 2, 467 jobs

• 2. Nevada, 2,081 jobs

• 3. New York, 1,807 jobs

• 4. Michigan, 1,100 jobs

• 5. Texas, 774 jobs

• 6. Kentucky, 662 jobs

• 7. South Carolina, 618 jobs

• 8. Florida, 515 jobs

• 9. Tennessee, 406 jobs

• 10. New Mexico, 400 jobs
