Armeka Booker of Tennessee Wesleyan and Brandon Cole of Bryan College were the Appalachian Athletic Conference basketball players of the week for last week, but both their teams lost in home AAC doubleheaders Tuesday, Booker's Lady Bulldogs 81-66 to Milligan and Cole's Lions 70-65 to Point University.

But the Bryan Lady Lions won 78-45 and the league-favorite Wesleyan men beat Milligan 97-90.

Booker, who scored 26 points in each of two wins last week and totaled 21 rebounds, had 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting and seven rebounds but also seven turnovers in Tuesday's loss. Teammate Cody Houck -- the previous player of the week -- had 13 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots, and Courtney Gobble and Bailey Lyness scored 12 points apiece with four assists and four steals, respectively.

Chelsey Weddle had 29 points and nine rebounds and Callie Cox scored 22 points for the Lady Buffs, who got six assists with nine points from Chattanoogan Robyn Anthony, a Cleveland State transfer.

Andrew Scofield had 21 points and four steals for TWC's Bulldogs (3-0 AAC), while Tyler Burse had 19 points and 11 rebounds, Shannon Smith had 19 points and six assists, Devante' Jenkins had 16 points and nine rebounds and Dante Turnipseed had 13 opints and nine assists.

Bryan's Cole had 24 points and 12 rebounds in a loss and 34 points, 15 rebounds and four assists in a win last week, and Tuesday he scored 22 points, but only Christian Haile with 13 points and Terrell Maryland with 10 joined him in double figures. Brandon Wright and Eric Fields scored 23 and 19 for Point, Wright with five 3s.

Megan Billingsby had 20 points and 12 rebounds off the bench for the Bryan Lady Lions (6-3, 3-0), who embarrassed their guests 44-13 in the second half. Taylor Neuharth scored 16 points with 3-for-4 3-point accuracy, and Kelsey Brooks made four steals.

In other women's games Tuesday, Jenna Adams had 23 points and 12 rebounds, Madison Lee had eight assists and Hollie German scored 16 points with 4-of-7 success on 3s as Lee's Lady Flames thumped former NAIA league rival Auburn-Montgomery 82-56; Kiaira Cooper had 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting, nine rebounds and three steals in Covenant's 65-52 win at Oglethorpe; and Casey Hassett had 15 points, nine rebounds and three blocks and Kayla Sewell added six blocks and eight rebounds in Sewanee's 46-35 defeat of Agnes Scott.

The Sewanee men toppled Toccoa Falls 82-63 as Leo Born and Jordan Wiliams scored 15 and 13 points with three 3s each, but Covenant's Scots lost 86-55 at Oglethorpe despite 17 points by Bryant Engbers. No teammate score more than seven.
