River City agency moves in Red Bank

After 11 years of local business, River City Insurance has relocated to 3320 Dayton Boulevard in Red Bank to better serve its customers throughout the area. The company will host an open house on Thursday to showcase its new office. "Our new central location is convenient and helps us to readily accommodate those we insure in Hamilton and surrounding counties," said Jim Hartley, owner of the local, independent, full-service agency. River City Insurance services all of Tennessee and Georgia with both personal and commercial coverage, including auto, boat, home, individual health, life, landlord, renters, general liability, property, workers compensation, umbrella and group health.

Semyx launches new jet line

Dalton waterjet company Semyx launched a new line of cutting machines Tuesday. The Cobra waterjet series ranges between 10 to 16 feet wide and allow for mass cutting of large material. The machine is geared toward the carpet and turf industries and is well-suited to cut softer materials, according to Semyx.

The company designs, builds and sells waterjet cutting machines, which use water to slice material, and employs 35 people worldwide. Semyx expects to hit $30 million in sales this year.
