Baylor School football stadium vandalized

Vandals used blue spraypaint to deface a part of Heywood Stadium at Baylor School where tonight's sold-out matchup between the Red Raiders and McCallie School Blue Tornado will be played.

Baylor School officials confirmed reports that a part of the stadium's scoreboard - a sign bearing the Coca-Cola logo - was painted with the word "McCallie." That sign can easily be removed but will have to be replaced.

In addition, blue "X's" were painted over the the word "Baylor" at the far end of the track.

The rivalry between the prep schools is legendary. In recent years, administrators from both schools have encouraged students to demonstrate leadership and sportsmanship in the days leading up to the game.

It is unclear who is responsible for the vandalism.

It is alumni weekend for both of the schools.
