Firefighter hurt in Fourth Avenue fire returning home after treatment

The Chattanooga Fire Department has reported that a firefighter injured Monday in a structure fire on Fourth Avenue is returning home today after getting added treatment for burns at Vanderbilt Hospital's burn unit in Nashville.

Two other firefighters had also been burned in the fire that caused an estimated $60,000 in damage.

Fire Chief Lamar Flint said the three injured firefighters are being placed on administrative leave with full pay as their recover from their injuries.
