Obamacare cartoon was unhelpful - and more letters to the editors

Obamacare cartoon was unhelpful

I have been looking at the editorial cartoons lately and in the comic strip about "Obamacare" published on Oct. 3. I am just baffled at the constant battle between Obama and Congress.

It seems as if this will never end and both sides are completely selfish.

I am even more tired about the fact that now Obama has an "unlikely ally" and it really does not make any change.

I find the whole shutdown is quite childish and America needs to work together for a common cause: the common good of the people.

I think comic strips like this are pointless and there should be more comic strips about urging people to collaborate.

Rep. Boehner doesn't control House

Speaker of the House Rep. John Boehner is just that, the speaker. He is not the leader. The leader is - take your pick - Sen. Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh. John Boehner has zero control of his own party.

These conservative Republicans just wind Boehner up like a puppet and run him out to make stupid statements like, "This ain't no d-- game". Don't you just know his constituents back home are real proud to hear him beg his caucus for permission to do what he feels is the right thing to do.
