Wesley Cash of Chattanooga can win two national tennis championships today in Savannah, Ga. The Manker Patten teaching professional is one win away from his seventh USTA national men's 55 doubles championship in a row, after he and Mark Vines of Lynchburg, Va. -- the top seeds -- beat third-seeded Richard Barrett of Deatsville, Ala., and Jeff Davis of Treasure Island, Fla., 6-3, 6-4 in the age-group clay court semifinals Thursday at Savannah, Ga. Vines and Cash, who won the golden slam as partners for all four events last year, play for the clay title today against unseeded Timothy Garcia and Rocky Royer of Santa Fe, N.M., who needed three sets for their semifinal win over John Arciero of Matthews, N.C., and Robert Levine of Grand Rapids, Mich. That final is set for 1 p.m., after Cash faces Mats Ljungman of Ann Arbor, Mich., for the singles championship at 10:30 a.m. Cash won the USTA 55s indoor and grass court titles this year with Michael Tammen of Portland, Ore. The hard court nationals are Nov. 4-10 in Indian Wells, Calif.
