Early morning Chattanooga house fire under investigation

Officials are investigating what caused an early morning house fire in Chattanooga, according to a news release.

Firefighters rushed to 1513 Anderson Avenue around 5:30 a.m.

The fire appeared to have started by the back porch, and spread up the outside wall to the attic, the release stated.

The firefighters were able to get the fire out quickly, limiting damage to rear of the house. No injuries were reported.

Volunteers with the American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee were called in to provide assistance to the family who lived at the home, according to the release.
