The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office worked with an Ohio police department and charged Ryan K. Freeman, 21, with soliciting a minor child for sexual contact over the Internet.

The Goshen (Ohio) Police Department reached out to Hamilton County law enforcement after Freeman, who lives in Harrison, reportedly solicited a child in Goshen's jurisdiction.

Ohio officers took over the minor child's accounts on the Internet and had extensive conversations with Freeman concerning his request to make sexual contact with the child, according to a news release. The case was also assigned to a Hamilton County officer operating within the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Ohio authorities took Freeman into custody Oct. 15 at the Chattanooga Greyhound Bus Station.

Freeman was taken into custody on active warrants issued by the Ohio authorities for importuning. He remains in custody in the Hamilton County Jail awaiting extradition.
