MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. - A McMinn County woman says she has been unfairly accused of hoarding puppies, after she rescued them from a nearby home. We first brought you the story on Wednesday. Teresa Evans rescued more than a dozen puppies and is trying to find a good home for them. After our story aired, Channel 3 received calls saying she was reluctant to give them away.

One woman tells Channel 3 she drove two hours to meet Teresa to pick up one of the puppies, but Teresa changed her mind. Teresa says she just wants to make sure each puppy is placed in the right kind of home.

"I've had people that have called that maybe had already had three or four dogs, large dogs in the home, that I didn't think it was a good idea to take a six-week-old puppy into," says Teresa Evans.
