Imagine if you will ... The idiotic Fleabaggers and their incompetent messianic leader took this nation to the brink of disaster a few weeks ago to preserve this POS bit of socialist trash. They’re traitors to this country, the lowest form of scum, and should be removed from all offices. Along with their low grade Fleabagger supporters they should be rounded up and permanently expelled from this nation they have such little love or respect for. We should “extract” all of their assets to help pay for the damage they’ve done to this country. We should strip them of their clothing, drive them naked into some 4th world hell hole wilderness, and finally leave them to possibly evolve to the point they can be trusted to re-enter civilized society.

anniebelle,

You are a perfect example of a liberal who look past the stuff the government gives you. The problem with obamacare goes way beyond the free stuff given to the leaches and moochers . It puts the destruction of Americas economy on a faster tract than obama has already started by adding 16.7 trillion dollars to the deficit. It is eliminating full time jobs, and forcing older doctors to retire. Nothing in obamacare addresses the shortage of doctors it will create. It also will not allow any new hospitals built and owned by doctors to receive medicare or medicaid patients meaning less hospitals will be built to handle an increasing number of aging baby boomers It is another unfunded social give away program that will add to the debt and deficit.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, passed three years ago with President Obama saying it would not add one dime to the federal deficit, is now projected to add $6.2 trillion to the deficit and inflict severe cuts to Medicare and Medicaid payments to hospitals and physicians.

When Obamacare passed in March 2010, many Americans believed they would soon receive the same lifetime healthcare benefits as every member of Congress, and without incurring additional costs for themselves, their families or their businesses. The truth, however, is the Government Accountability Office (GAO) anticipates the Obamacare entitlement program will place a heavy burden on the U.S. economy, which currently has a national debt of almost $17 trillion.

Stop being so self serving and greedy try looking beyond yourself and how obamacare will eventually be more harmful to the poor and needy in America.

This showdown on Obamacare is a war between those who fight to enslave us under Marxism and genuine Americans who want to live in freedom.

Vladimir Lenin, an expert on Marxism, thinks so. A recent Communist Workers Party publication described Lenin’s position on the “value” of socialized healthcare as “… the keystone to the arch of the socialist state.”

American socialists have been fighting to enslave us since at least 1927 when socialist skunk Norman Thomas predicted America wouldn’t vote for socialism, but would adopt every aspect of socialism if it were presented under the banner of liberalism.

Obama’s health care scheme is presented as a plan to “help” the average American. Isn’t it being cloaked as humanitarianism, a way to “cover everybody and spread the wealth?”

Rank and file Democrats are the enemy of American freedoms

A February Gallup poll revealed that more than one of three (36%) of those living among us are too stupid to recognize the dangers of socialism and actually favor it. Not surprisingly 53% of Democrats have a favorable view of socialism.

This percentage of registered Democrats holds positive views of these elements of our national life: Capitalism just 53%; Big Business just 46%.

A very instructive 67% of registered Democrats had a positive view of the Federal government.

These are very scary numbers. They make it clear we have to keep fighting everybody and anybody in our way, regardless of party, to drive a stake through the heart of this disastrous bill.

If they win we lose. This is a totally zero sum contest.

If they win they will steal each day in the future lives our children and when the last piggy bank is smashed and the pennies are counted, they will tax us until we have nothing left to give.

I moved from Chattanooga to Monteagle 3 years ago to take care of my mom until she died last year. I am surrounded by rednecks who complain vehemently about Obama and Obamacare and the evils of government. There's hardly a day goes by that I don't hear somebody in this town bitching and foaming at the mouth about Obama and how rotten and evil the gub'mint is. And you know what? The vast majority of those teabagging Obama/government haters are getting food stamps, welfare, Medicaid, or drawing SS or SSDI. It is common knowledge that there at least as many right wing "moochers" and "takers" in the red states as there are in the blue states. So whatever your complaint about liberal "gimme goats," you can direct it to your teabagging redneck leeches as well. At least liberals have the good sense and the decency to appreciate the safety nets that are in place. You right-wing hypocrites have the gall to bite and curse the very hand that feeds you. So STFU already about liberal "gimme goats."

You righties who have nothing better to do than sit on your lazy asses and post your vile crap here every day, all day long, regurgitating the latest lies you heard from Limbaugh or Faux News, are so full of your BS it's pathetic. And most of you are no doubt on Medicare and drawing SS - or at least have family members who are - all the while you're bitching about the "evils" of government and government-run health care. joneses, you would find you arteries more relaxed if you would spend a little more time reading the truth, than you do reading hit pieces written by Ted Cruz groupies.

Here are some facts for you to chew on;

http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/Stories/2013/September/18/government-health-spending-projections-outpace-economic-growth.aspx

GAO: "Overall, the federal government’s long-term fiscal outlook has improved since 2010 based in part on laws enacted after PPACA, including the Budget Control Act of 2011. The provisions of the Budget Control Act primarily affected discretionary spending, and under both of our simulations, discretionary spending as a share of the economy would be lower in 2022 than at any point in the last 50 years. The Budget Control Act’s automatic enforcement procedures would reduce Medicare spending by up to 2 percent under current law."

http://www.gao.gov/products/GAO-13-281

At that link, you can view the entire 52 page, pdf report.

I have no hope that you will actually go there and read the report. You're going to continue to seek every anti-Obama article, and then cut and paste it into this forum, like you have done for years.

Funny how quickly some folks are to mock poverty. Even more sad when you look at the correlation between "pro business" states and the percentage of the population who need help putting food on the table.

Take a look:

http://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/supplemental-nutrition-assistance-program-%28snap%29-data-system/go-to-the-map.aspx#.UmaqvLx4X-R

From the maps (use the "Display a different map" link) you can see that where people are older and where the recession hit the hardest, more people need food.

If you go through the maps to the 2010 "% of population participating in SNAP" you can see that the rise in the hungry is concentrated in the South, the Indian reservations, Detroit, Arizona, New Mexico, and Florida.

Mocking the hungry? Really?

$600 million paid to a Canadian firm to design the website? A Canadian firm that already had a bad reputation. There're fantastic websites out there that are created and maintained for almost nothing. Obama is a fool, and that ghoul Count Sebelius would be fired by any private sector company.

There is no doubt that Obamacare is simply about control. Who in their right mind wants to control other people? Think about in your own life, what a burden that is, and what a waste of time. Obama is a sick man.

The hard truth of the Great Recession is that it has only ended for well-educated workers between 30 and 45 years old. Many of the over 50s are seeing a permanent, early retirement and the under 30s have very little chance of landing a job with a decent salary, insurance, and retirement benefits.

The funny thing is the country is actually more wealthy than it has ever been. When you remove companies' obligations for those pesky pensions and then reduce wages it looks great on the bottom line - and you have many more people falling into poverty.

The old analogy of squeezing a balloon holds true. If businesses decide to squeeze out their profits from their wages and benefits they can only expect their taxes to rise to pay for the results.

Want fewer people on food stamps? Pay them enough to live on.

Social Security has a pretty good website. OPM retirement services looks like it was done by 8th graders for extra credit.

Why should anyone expect the actual Obamacare system to operate any better than the website? You've got to remember that the people managing the system also managed the website rollout, so good luck with that . . . .

What happens if congress will not approve the additional funding to fix the failure?

I resent the government intrusion and dictating things I can and cannot do that affects no one but me. I would pay much higher taxes just to have the government leave me the hell alone. My taxes would be enough to provide me protection, clean water, safe food, good roads, interstate commerce, fair competition etc. etc. without trying to dictate personal behavior that does not harm others, quit trying to be the morals police or impose on others what is considered the right thing to do.

However, since the elected elite think they know what is best for everyone why was the healthcare law not simply that everyone is on Medicare, like it or not, and the premiums adjusted upward enough to meet the cost of healthcare except for those eligible for Medicaid. You want more than Medicare then pay for one of the Medi-gap supplements. Medicare works even if it is under funded. There is a system in place. No web site needed, 16,000 IRS agents not needed, 1000's of other added employees not needed, employers are out of the picture.

You know what happened. Everyone does. The HHS dropped the ball in designing a website that fills the bill, so they are going to have to fix it.

When it is fixed, let's be sure to communicate.

A leading democrat in congress opined today that congress must approve enough money to fix it, whatever it takes.

As you know I wish it had worked perfectly so people would know what the pig in the poke looked like and what it will cost them. I wish the stupid republicans would quit fighting it and insist that all elements be implemented as initially provided by law.

We need to know now what we have had put upon us not ten or more years then say oh crap, like with Medicare/Medicaid.

Why am I among the few that support pro-choice that also think pro-choice is the right thing on this issue?

The selfish and greedy on the left want to confiscate from some and give to others. The self righteous on the right want to make sure, in their opinion, I high morals and a will to go to war. I say both are nothing but government whores, just can't say no if there is money involved.

anniebelle, I think it's deplorable for you to assume, like Obama does, that the common people are idiot's.Just because we aren't Harvard educated doesn't mean we can't do research and study history on our on.I've read some of your post's and I think you have a very distorted view of history. Especially between the years of 1980 thru 1988.Ronald Reagan understood the biggest role of Government was to get the hell out of the way.Although you never heard him say it, unlike Obama, he never blamed the second worst P O T U S in the modern era,Jimmy Carter. The real economy i.e. interest rates, inflation and unemployment were worse.Obama went on a spending spree with a credit card from the bank of China which didn't work.By this time in Reagan's 2nd term the economy was booming interest rates were low and the Soviet Union was beginning to crumble.I keep hearing you talk about the Saving's and loan crisis like it was some kind of scandal.Talk about needing a history lesson.

Obama gave the Canadian company that designed the website a 625 million dollar no bid contract. Where is the liberals outrage? obama also gave Haliburton a 500 million dollar no bid contract in his first year occupying the White House. Where is the liberal outrage? When President Bush was in office the liberals would not shut their mouths about Haliburton. More liberal hypocrisy.

When obama was a political science student at Columbia he was taught a detailed plan designed by two former Columbia professors named Cloward and Piven to bring down “the system,” destroy capitalism, and turn America into a socialist state. They discussed it in class, wrote about it, and debated it outside class. It was a hot topic of discussion around the halls of Columbia for four years.

The plan was revolting, but brilliant. Cloward and Piven taught that America could only be destroyed from within. Only by overwhelming the system with debt, welfare, and entitlements could capitalism and the America economy be destroyed. So the plan was to make a majority of Americans dependent on welfare, food stamps, disability, unemployment, and entitlements of all kinds. Then, under the weight of the debt, the system would implode and the economy collapse, bankrupting business owners (i.e. conservative donors). Americans would be brought to their knees, begging for big government to save them. Voila – you’d have a new system.

What point? The program is sound. The delivery got screwed up. When the delivery is fixed, the program will start delivering the product that was promised.

This was something that should not have been put out for a bidding contract.

Kathleen Sebelius deserves to be fired. She has embarrassed the Obama Administration, but for some reason, the President is standing beside her.

Yeah...he could fire her, appoint someone in her place, in order to save some face, but he isn't. He's ordering her to get this fixed.

And it will be fixed.

A program of this magnitude being rolled out in this age of technology was sure to have issues. This time, they were severe issues.

But it is not fatal, and there is currently no shortage of people who are celebrating this rough start to what they have bashed for three years.

Let's be sure to discuss it after the site is up and running as it will surely be in due time.

Glenn Beck Alert!!! joneses has hit a new low, in offering trash that came straight from Glenn Beck's lips, who has repeatedly claimed this crap for years.

There is absolutely no proof whatsoever that the President was ever presented any of the theories proposed by Cloward and Piven, who were long gone from Columbia University when he attended it.

The President was a CHILD when these two were at Columbia.

"They discussed it in class, wrote about it, and debated it outside class. It was a hot topic of discussion around the halls of Columbia for four years."

Uh huh...from 1965 to 1970.

"The plan was revolting, but brilliant. Cloward and Piven taught that America could only be destroyed from within."

Their theories and ideas addressed POVERTY, following riots, not destroying America.

What a clown you are to cut and paste a Glenn Beck work of pure fiction.

I hope it is working shortly. People need to know about their co-pays and deductibles. What was promised and some things not talked about will be delivered. Those not qualifying for a subsidy may need immediate medical attention when they see their cost.

Who provided the input for the AHA? Did you buy stock in any insurance or pharmaceutical company to pay for your health care? Those I bought are up an average of $23 per share in 12 months. $23,000 gain will pay my healthcare cost for a few years and they will likely continue going up.

Aetna, Well Care, Signa and others plus most large drug companies that contributed over $10,000 to the publicity effort love and support this bill. Who do you think is writing the regs that are still being developed? AARP is a major partner with insurance companies and very supportive of the AHA even though most of their members are retired and on Medicare.

The best thing since ice cream but a lot of people are lactose intolerant.

joneses wrote: "And now obama has destroyed our military along with our healthcare."

But of course jonesie...it's always Obama's fault, no matter what.

The military apparently is burning $100 bills to heat their field tents when the weather is cold.

Total defense spending, per year, as of 2012, was $1.4 trillion.

The last time the Government Accountability Office attempted to audit the Defense Department, it was unable to provide an audit opinion, due to "widespread material internal control weaknesses, significant uncertainties, and other limitations."

The GAO cited as the principal obstacle to its provision of an audit opinion "serious financial management problems at the Department of Defense that made its financial statements unauditable."

Further management discussion in 2011 DoD Financial Report stated "we are not able to deploy the vast numbers of accountants that would be required to reconcile our books manually".

Congress has established a deadline of FY 2017 for the DoD to achieve audit readiness.

On 5 December 2012, the Department of Defense announced it was planning for automatic spending cuts of $500 billion and an additional $487 billion due to the 2011 Budget Control Act,

Politico published an article late last year, citing that the Department of Defense declined to explain to the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee, which controls federal spending, what its plans were regarding the fiscal cliff planning.

This was after half a dozen defense experts either resigned from Congress or lost their reelections.

Unless the military gets it's financial house in order, it is on track to realize that military entitlements and personnel costs will take up the entire defense budget by 2039.

Are you sure about that? The way you've been carrying on, I was sure you would avoid purchasing insurance, as a means of protest.

"Aetna, Well Care, Signa and others plus most large drug companies that contributed over $10,000 to the publicity effort love and support this bill."

Of course they did. They stand to gain the most from it's success.

There's no secret there at all.

"Who do you think is writing the regs that are still being developed? AARP is a major partner with insurance companies and very supportive of the AHA even though most of their members are retired and on Medicare."

You're forgetting the most successful insurance policies currently being sold these days, which are Medicare Advantage policies. Those are sold directly to those who are on Medicare, and they are solid policies that provide very adequate benefits to millions of Medicare recipients.

There is every reason why AARP is on board with ObamaCare. Medicare and the side-show policies it markets stand to gain everything from the success of ObamaCare.

volsom, why do you continue to want to flaunt your ignorance of history here. You say you can find the facts on your own. Well, do so.

Savings and Loan Scandal Here are some facts on the infamous S&L scandal of the eighties which we are still paying for. •The Savings and Loan scandal is the largest theft in the history of the world.

•Deregulation eased restrictions so much that S&L owners could lend themselves money. •The Garn Institute of Finance, named after Senator Jake Garn, co-authored the deregulation of the industry and received $2.2 million from industry executives. •Neil Bush, George Bush's son, never servered time in jail for his part in running an S&L into the ground. •Represenative Fernard St. Germain, who was head of the House of Representatives banking, co-authored the deregulation and was voted out of office after other questionable dealings and was sent back to D.C. as an S&L lobbiest. •Charles Keating, when asked if massive lobbying efforts had influenced the government officials, he replies "I certainly hope so." •The rip-off began in 1980 when the government raised the federal insurance on S&L's from $40,000 to $100,000 even though the typical savings account was only around $6000. •Some of the seized assets were a buffalo sperm bank, a racehorse with syphilis, and a kitty litter mine. •James Fail invested $1000 of his own money to purchase 15 failing S&L's. The government reimbursed him $1.85 billion in federal subsidies. •It sometimes took over 7 years to close failing S&L's by the government. •When S&L owners who stole millions went to jail, their sentances were typically one-fifth that of the average bank robber. •The government (i.e. Ronnie Reagan)bail out will cost the taxpayers around $1.4 trillion dollars when it is over. •If the White House had stepped in and bailed out the S&L's in 1986 instead of delaying until after the 1988 elections, the cost might have been only $20 billion. •With the money lost from the S&L scandals, the government could have provided prenatal care for every American child for the next 2,300 years. •With the money lost from the S&L scandals, the government could have purchased 5 million average homes.

NO SCANDAL THERE, HUH, VOLSOM?

The reason you republicans will not subscribe to the 'truth' when it is presented to you, is because you project onto other people your insecurities and your failures. You can't discern between fact and fiction because you live in a fantasy land of lies and distortions and hate. Some on here have called me a liar because they are projecting their traits onto me. If I wanted to tell some whopper of a lie, it certainly wouldn't be to a board full of ignorant haters. You can cure ignorance, there's no cure for stupidity. And it doesn't take a Harvard degree.
