U.S. Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., stopped in the Scenic City today to tour The Block, the downtown Chattanooga climbing gym owned by High Point Climbing and Fitness.
Corker said the gym, which is slated to open late November, was a boon to the city and a help to the city's 10-year-old outdoor initiative, which was started in Corker's mayoral administration.
After watching a climbing demonstration in the facilities "climbing pit," Corker said the gym was outstanding and would help "make Chattanooga a premier outdoor destination in the country."
