DECATUR, Ala. - Alabama Department of Corrections officials say they're searching for a 22-year-old man who escaped from a community-based facility in Decatur.
Department of Corrections spokesman Brian Corbett says 22-year-old inmate Cody Wade Snelling was listed as missing after he was unaccounted for during a head count Wednesday afternoon.
Corrections officials say Snelling didn't return to the facility from his work assignment.
Snelling is serving a two-year sentence for burglary from Calhoun County.
Officials say his sentence was scheduled to end next month.
