TBI investigating Bradley deputy

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been asked to open a probe of Bradley County Deputy Bill Coultry, according to a news release.

The release stated that the agency's help was requested by the 10th Judicial District Attorney's Office. No information was given on the nature of the case.

Bradley County officials told WRCB-TV that Coultry has been placed on administrative leave.

In July, the TBI was asked to investigate allegations that a Bradley County Finance Department employee bought items for personal use with county money. The employee resigned.

In June, TBI was asked to investigate allegations that Bradley Sheriff's Capt. Jimmy Woody helped make some evidence disappear in return for sexual favors. That investigation was ongoing when Woody pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence and was given judicial diversion.

Hurricane Harbor will include an 800,000-gallon wave pool, a multislide tower, a children's area and a single-slide tower combining two extreme slide thrills, officials said.

According to WKRN-TV, two boats collided about noon Sunday.

They said one of the individuals injured in the accident was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a head injury. The other three received nonlife-threatening injuries.

Thrown rifle injures 2 teens

SPRINGFIELD, Ga. - Authorities said two 17-year-old girls inside a store were wounded by gunfire from a rifle, which discharged when it was thrown outside a nearby house.

Sheriff's officials in Effingham County said the girls' injuries were not life-threatening.

Sheriff's spokesman David Ehsanipoor said the shooting was part of a domestic dispute. Investigators found that 20-year-old Samantha King, of Guyton, threw the rifle outside the residence during the dispute. He said the gun discharged, firing into the store.

Ehsanipoor said King faces a charge of reckless conduct.
