Clergy members of Blue Springs Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tenn., are facing $5,000 to $10,000 in repair work after finding bullet holes in the side of the building.

Late last week, a local contractor discovered scattered punctures to the building while doing maintenance on the church's roof and siding. A search around the property found bullet casings, an aftermath of 14 shots fired into the building, according to Bradley County authorities.

The church was in the process of refurbishing the building -- a former elementary school gymnasium purchased from Bradley County -- when the bullet marks were discovered.

Once inside the building, the projectiles struck and damaged anything from electrical equpiment to wall siding, police said.

An investigation is continuing and no arrest has been made. A suspect or suspects could face charges of vandalism, authorities said.
