The Comedy Catch, 3224 Brainerd Road, will host a benefit show for comedian Christy Eidson at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.

Eidson was hosting her "Girl on Girl Comedy & Revue" at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville when she began experiencing flulike symptoms.

After four days of feeling ill, she went to the hospital and was told she'd had a heart attack. Days later, she had triple bypass surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Proceeds from Sunday's show will go toward her medical and rehabilitation costs.

Scheduled to perform are Jerry Harvey, Jessica Carter, Ben Thompson, Red Squirrel, Andie Lynne, James Victor Cherry and Thomas Prunier.

Eidson, who is on the mend, will make an appearance.

Tickets are $10.
