The following events and organizations will be represented at Riverfront Nights:

• YPAC Green Space: Lookout Mountain Conservancy

• Under the Pup Tent: Noah’s Bark Animal Rescue and Rehab

• On the Green: Glow-inthe-Dark Zombie 5K Run, 9 p.m.

Members of the Alan Evans Trio will draw the curtain on the Riverfront Nights Summer Music Series on Saturday, Sept. 14, and they'll do it in style. Funky style.

Organizers say they are "pulling out all the stops" for this one with fireworks, a Zombie run and a video production showing highlights from previous concerts on the wall behind the stage.

AE3 is the newest musical project for Alan Evans, left, co-founder, writer and drummer for the soul-jazz organ trio Soulive.

With Beau Sasser, right, on keys and Danny Mayer on guitar, AE3 produces a hard-driving groove and deep, funky melodies.

Their show starts at 8 p.m., following an opening set by local funk band Smooth Dialects.

Admission is free.
