Previous stops have included Grand Ole Opry and Bonnaroo, as well as radio shows "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Mountain Stage."

On Friday, she will perform at Barking Legs Theater, 1307 Dodds Ave.

O'Donovan, whose first name is pronounced "ee-fuh," has been hailed as "a vocalist of unerring instinct" by The New York Times, "transcendent" by the Boston Globe and "the newest darling of the Americana set" by USA Today.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
