ATLANTA — A man has been killed when he was struck by an Atlanta Public Schools bus.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that police were called to the scene of the accident on James Jackson Parkway at about 4 p.m. Friday.
Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. Gregory Lyon said the accident occurred when a man ran into the road and was struck by the bus.
Police said only one student and the driver were on the bus at the time of the accident. Lyon said charges are not expected to be filed against the driver.
Police have not identified the victim pending notification of relatives.
