MANTACHIE, Miss. - Cleveland-based Jackson Furniture has purchased a 183,000-square-foot facility in Mantachie.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that Jackson Furniture is expected to begin production in the facility as early as next week. The factory will produce stationary and motion furniture. Company officials say the factory should be operating at full capacity by the end of the year.

The 33-acre Mantachie site was formerly home of PeopLoungers and Townhouse Furniture. It has been empty for more than a year.

The company produces motion upholstery under the Catnapper brand name and stationary furniture under the Jackson name.
