Project: Hamilton on Hunter North.
Owner: Bell Development.
Location: Hunter Road, Ooltewah.
Architect: Bell Engineering.
Size: At least 1,400 lots.
Contractor: Jay Bell.
Home price: $200,000 to $250,000
Timeline: Bell is constantly adding new land, so the company doesn't yet have a completion date.
Scope: Bell Development acquired an additional 25 acres to add a new phase to the Hamilton on Hunter subdivision earlier this year. The subdivision already includes about 1,200 lots and will be built out depending on demand. It's the largest subdivision in Hamilton County. New houses range between 1,800 and 2,300 square feet and include finished basements, rear decks and private back yards. Homes have granite countertops, custom cabinetry, tiled showers and stainless steel appliances.
Future: Bell owns and is acquiring new undeveloped land, and plans to continue to build in Hamilton County. McKenzie Farm and Belleau Ridge in Ooltewah, also built by Bell, are growing as well. The company plans to add a new phase to McKenzie Farms, called McKenzie Meadows, in five to 10 years.
