Purse auction benefits Salvation Army

• What: The 10th Annual Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Purse Auction, held at the Chattanooga Convention Center, featured purses filled with gift certificates that included items ranging from fashions to jewelry to spa treatments, beach vacations, art, toys, college football tickets and much more. The value of the designer purses with contents ranged from about $600 to $3,390.

• Benefits: The fundraiser supports the ongoing objectives of the Salvation Army and its volunteers to assist the less fortunate population in the greater Chattanooga area.
