Beaulieu looking to fill 150 jobs at Dalton Career Center on April 17

The Georgia Department of Labor has announced it will assist carpet maker Beaulieu America fill about 150 jobs in Dalton on April 17.

The recruitment will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at GDOL's Dalton Career Center at 1406 Chattanooga Ave., a news release said.

GDOL said Beaulieu is seeking to fill jobs at several of its Georgia plants, including ones in Dalton, Eton, Chatsworth, Calhoun and Gainesville, and at a plant it operates in Bridgeport, Ala.

Among the jobs the company is seeking to fill are warehouse supervisors, creelers, electricians, heat set operators, lift truck operators, inspectors, master mechanics, material handlers, press operators, project leaders, quality control technicians, truck drivers, slit film operators and mechanics, spinners, tufting machine operators, one-color press operators, twisters, warpers and weavers.

Those seeking a job should be at least 18 years old. The release said a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) is preferred, but not required for the jobs.
