Chattanooga police said they don't suspect foul play in the death of a man who was found in a freshman dorm on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus.

Chattanooga police identified the man as UTC student Ronald Farrell Jr., 22.

The man was found shortly after 3:30 p.m. on an upper floor of the Walker Apartments at 801 E. Eighth St.

It was an isolated incident, say school officials, and there was no danger on campus.

Tim McFarland, spokesman for the Chattanooga Police Department, said city police were notified around 3:30 p.m.

McFarland said "right now, it's undetermined" what the cause of death was, but he said investigators "don't think it's foul play or anything suspicious."

In a news release police said Farrell could have died from "medical causes."

At about 4:45 crime scene investigators left the building carrying a brown paper bag, and EMTs left about the same time.

The investigation is being conducted by the Chattanooga Police Department.
