Stabbing Spree

about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

The situation in Nevada will be repeated many times over in the coming years. It seems that ever agency in the government has a police force of some kind. Before anyone starts feeling sorry for Clive Bundy, why not take into account that the man is more than a million in the hole in grazing fees.

He purposely stopped paying them in 1993.

I can do nothing but laugh at people who piss in the wind and expect that they will prevail in life.

The man has lost two court battles.

What does he expect?

The BLM is the landlord. He stopped paying rent more than 20 years ago. Now his cattle belong to the Gov't.

The definition of "pissing in the wind" by you libs is getting broader and broader, and will be your justification for expanding the police state.

April 11, 2014 at 11:16 a.m.

Notice how all the idiots who commit these horrible act always target places where no one is armed? That's no accident. The complete and total idiocy, beginning with Bush 1 all the way to BO, of disarming soldiers on their own bases is criminal. When was the last time some one went into a police station, where everyone is armed, and attempted to pull off Sandy Hook like attack? Arm the schools, and I mean arm them. Allow teachers to be armed, principles..etc. According to libs we should all adopt a sitting duck approach so we set a good example. It's too late, nut jobs, malcontents, and bored teenagers now feel emboldened to attack schools, military bases, work places, etc.

April 11, 2014 at 11:23 a.m.

Zableedofisterix contends that: ”The situation in Nevada will be repeated many times over in the coming years. But disagree with the sentence that followed it, ”We're slipping and sliding helplessly toward a police state” only because we’re NOT sliding ‘towards’ a police state – we’re already in one!

It’s a bit more complicated than your 11:09 a.m post would suggest Alprova.

The same - but different: See Hedges et al vs. Obama et al. Amicus brief here: http://lawandfreedom.com/site/constitutional/Hedges%20v%20Obama%20amicus%20brief.pdf

While one could say it is comparing Apples to Oranges, it nevertheless illustrates the inviolate power the state has granted (ing) itself. It (the state) alone has the authority to invoke precedents, Familial, historical, or constitutional precedence need not apply.

The BLM’s actions in Nevada are dangerous.

The answer is to reverse the liberal policies and attitudes which allow people to languish in mental illness and provide only promises of peace and security to the victims of those who are paranoid and react to human emotions with violence.

Some people are CRAZY. They need to be identified and LOCKED UP. Get used to it.

The problem is not a lack of weapons in schools. It's a lack of accountability in our society.

This is not a hard thing to figure out. Every police agency has its area of lawful jurisdiction. Government compounds are excluded from local police jurisdiction, so they have their own armed law enforcement officers to police areas within U. S. Government jurisdiction. It's the same on military bases, in the National Parks, etc. Railroads also have their own police who are deputized by the local sheriff's office.

A large part of effective "policing" is in being familiar with the area being policed. That's why there are special purpose police assigned. Do you really want a railroad cop coming to your house to answer a noise complaint? No. Do you want a local cop with no knowledge of railroad operations running around loose in a train yard? No.

If you want to reduce the need for police, then don't harbor known criminals in your neighborhoods, families and social groups.

Kissing up to illegals is a disgrace. In Denver the public schools are actively seeking teachers who are illegal aliens.

You're a hypocrite Alprova. The government seizes the property and money of citizens everyday, where's the empathy for them? Somehow illegals have gained a special status? Any employee thinking they are a victim of disparate treatment has recourse with investigation without the need for a lawyer or cost to them. It is not as simple as equal pay for the same position unless all considerations including education, experience, ability etc. are equal.

What should teachers, principles and other adults who work at school do, Clay? The fact is these wackos are purposely targeting places that are populated with people who are defenseless and unarmed, like Sandy Hook, Columbine, that theater in Colorado, Ft. Hood, etc. They claim mental issues and all that, but they had the presence of mind to choose a specific target. The logical thing to do is to arm, period. There's nothing wrong with defending yourself, and there're too many of these incidents to pretend that it won't happen again.

And you believe this law does a thing t address the issue? How many women are equal in all respects on the job to a male counterpart? How many women receiving lower pay are equal in all respects OTHER than the fact that they are female?

And, there are 17 exemptions to that Act. So many in fact, that unless they work in manufacturing, a company is exempt from the law.

You understand that the EPA is not incorporated into the FLSA, and for good reason. It's antiquated. It does nothing for most women in the workforce, and there have been very few complaints filed under it, that were not thrown out of court.

"Any employee thinking they are a victim of disparate treatment has recourse with investigation without the need for a lawyer or cost to them."

And the amount of investigation will equal that of a truck that was stolen from my lot three months ago. They know who took it, know where it was allegedly dumped, but to this day, it is still gone.

"It is not as simple as equal pay for the same position unless all considerations including education, experience, ability etc. are equal."

Which is precisely the problem with that Act. Experience is far more important than education. I'd rather hire a person who has work experience an will pay them more than I would someone just finishing school.

Dear Mr. Obama I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me. We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements. We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, The President of Mexico, that I'm on my way over?

Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

  1. Free medical care for my entire family.
  2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
  3. Please print all Mexican Government forms in English.
  4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.
  5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.
  6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.
  7. Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
  8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
  9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but I don't plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won't make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.
  10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.
  11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my housetop, put U.S. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
  12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
  13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.

  14. I want to receive free food stamps.

  15. Naturally, I'll expect free rent subsidies.
  16. I'll need income tax credits so that although I don't pay Mexican taxes, I'll receive money from the government.
  17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Government pays $4,500.00 to help me buy a new car.
  18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program so that I'll get a monthly income in retirement.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all his people who walk over to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that the President of Mexico won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

Now you can see how stupid this really is when you put it in writing!

Nope, and I probably never will.

"Your hiring preference of experience vs. education may not be another persons and it would depend on the job."

Well let's see. You need an Attorney. Are you going to hire one that has practiced for a few years or are you going to hire one who just passed the Bar.

Do you need a Doctor? Who are you going to trust with your life? One who has been treating patients for at least a few years or one who graduated Medical School last week?

Need a salesman? Will you hire one who has a sales track record or one who graduated college last week?

You get the drift.

"The education prepares one to become better and be as good as they can be rather than doing the best they can."

I have no idea if that sentence makes and sense to you, but it sure doesn't impress me.

Perhaps you need to go back to school to learn to compose a more impressive sentence.
