Zoo Choo Train making the rounds

Daily departures on the new Zoo Choo Train have begun at Chattanooga Zoo, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave. The trackless train features multiple wagons to hold up to 20 children at one time, plus sound and wheels in motion and a smoke machine. Safety features include seatbelts and an anti-collision system. The Zoo Choo will run daily, weather permitting, during regular hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m.). Each 4- to 5-minute ride around the grounds costs 1 token ($3). "Chattanooga is known for its trains, and this will be the perfect fit with our zoo and city," says Darde Long, zoo CEO and president.
