Bus driver won't be charged in death of Chattanooga Valley student

The bus driver who ran over a 6-year-old at Chattanooga Valley Elementary School on Monday will not be charged with a crime, the Georgia State Patrol announced in a news conference.

The student, Zackery Maximus Bryant, walked off the bus and toward the front right tire, according to the GSP. He was standing right in front of the bus - in the driver's blind spot.

Bryant died almost immediately.

His funeral is Saturday morning, followed by a candlelight vigil that evening.
