With an RBI triple by Daniel Mayora and a two-run home run by Scott Schebler in the 18th inning, the Chattanooga Lookouts beat the Jackson Generals 7-4 Monday night and early this morning in Jackson, Tenn. The game had been tied at 4 since the seventh inning.

The teams are supposed to play again at 12:05 p.m. EDT today, in the fourth game of the five-game series.

The Lookouts sent Monday's matchup into extra innings with a three-run seventh highlighted by a Jeremy Hazelbaker triple to right field, a J.C. Boscan single to right and a Noel Cuevas RBI double to center.

Darnell Sweeney opened the game for Chattanooga by doubling to left and scoring on Mayora's sacrifice fly to right, but Jackson scored two runs in the first inning and benefited from Lookouts miscues in the third and fourth to build a 4-1 lead. The Generals didn't score again in the remaining 14 innings, though, as Craig Stem, Juan Gonzalez, Hector Nelo and Raydel Sanchez allowed six hits and two walks in nine innings and winner Juan Ramon Noriega (1-1) gave up none in three innings.

Stephen Shackleford was the losing pitcher despite throwing three scoreless innings. In his fourth one, though, Sweeney again doubled as the leadoff batter, this time to right field, and Mayora drilled a one-out triple to center ahead of Schoebler's two-out homer to left.
