Road projects tile

The Chattanooga Transportation Department has announced that West Fifth Street, between Broad Street and Chestnut Street, will be closed for a large construction project.

The road closing began today and will continue until May 30.

It is being done to allow this section of the road to serve as a temporary construction entrance and staging area for the construction project.

Additionally, the 1700 block of Jenkins Road is being narrowed to one lane for a sewer rehabilitation project. This will take place today through 4 p.m.
