4 hurt when car crashes into Augusta Alabama restaurant

AUGUSTA, Ga. — State troopers say several people were injured when a car slammed into a restaurant in Augusta.

Georgia State Patrol Trooper First Class Ben Rollins tells the Augusta Chronicle four people were hurt when a car crashed into the building Wednesday afternoon. Rollins says none of the reported injuries are life threatening.

Footage from local media outlets showed a sedan had driven over a walkway and into the side of a Panera Bread restaurant. The Augusta Chronicle reports the city's fire department is checking the building for structural damage.

Authorities say the crash is under investigation.
