Volkswagen announced today it will create an Engineering Specialist Training program in Chattanooga that will target candidates who have already earned their Bachelor’s degree.

VW said the participants will receive a concentrated 18-month program that will highlight the same hands-on experience of the mechatronics training coupled with three months of international experience at Volkswagen’s headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany.

The new program was announced during a graduation program today of the second class to graduate from the Volkswagen Academy’s three-year Automation Mechatronics Program (AMP).
