Zaqwuan Matthews commits to UTC men's basketball

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball team picked up a commitment Monday from 6-foot-4 combo guard Zaqwaun Matthews of Myers Park, North Carolina.

Matthews, the No. 29 ranked player in the state according to PhenomHoopReport.com, is a The Rivals.com three-star prospect that averaged 15.3 points and 6.7 rebounds his junior season for the Mustangs, helping the team to a 17-9 record. They lost to North Mecklenburg in the first round of the North Carolina Class 4A state championships.

Matthews is the first commitment of coach Will Wade's 2015 signing class.
