'Un-scene Chattanooga' works at In-Town - Feb. 7-28

Oil paintings by Victoria Pearmain are featured this month at In-Town Gallery, 26A Frazier Ave. Titled "Un-scene Chattanooga," the collection spotlights areas around the city that are often overlooked but worthy of notice from an artist's viewpoint, such as this painting of the U.S. Pipe grounds. A plein-air painter for many years, Pearmain absorbs the atmosphere of her subjects on location, then finalizes the pieces in her studio. The exhibit will be on view through Friday, Feb. 28, with an opening reception on the first Friday, Feb. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
