Woman sentenced in slaying
A woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role in the slaying and dismemberment of a coastal Georgia man.
The Savannah Morning News reported Kimberly Moretz appeared in Effingham County Superior Court on Wednesday and was also ordered to serve five years on probation.
Prosecutors have said Moretz helped hide the body of 35-year-old Charlie Ray in a South Carolina storage locker after her husband, Chad Moretz, killed him and dismembered his body with a power saw.
Sheriff's deputies later killed Chad Moretz in a standoff at his home Jan. 11, 2013.
