Young girl shot in the head in Chattanooga

A girl has been shot in the head on Arlington Avenue, Chattanooga police report.

The address to which police had been dispatched was 1105 Arlington Ave.

Police say the girl is believed to have a non-life threatening injury. She was taken to a local hospital.

It is unclear if she lived at the apartment complex.

Police say there is no suspect information at this time. They suggested anyone with information should call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423) 698-2525 or Crime Stoppers at (423) 698-3333.
