Classic artists Elton John and Lionel Richie will join Jack White and Kanye West as the headliners for the 2014 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn., June 12-15.

The lineup was announced Wednesday night online during a two-and-half-hour production that featured performances and appearances by Ben Folds, The Flaming Lips and others, and was hosted by comedians Taran Killem and Hannibal Buress.

The names of some of the non-headlining acts were scrolled across the screen as previous festival highlights played during the early part of the presentation.

It will be the first appearances at the festival by John and Richie. White has appeared there multiple times with various bands. West will make a return appearance after an infamous show there in 2008 for which he was blasted by fans for starting his scheduled 2:45 a.m. show at 4:45 a.m. The show, which featured a glow-in-the-dark light show, was delayed by Pearl Jam playing longer than scheduled, and was still going when the sun came up.

Also performing will be Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers, Arctic Monkeys and Phoenix, who all are making return appearances.

The festival, which Rolling Stone has dubbed one of the 50 moments that changed the history of rock 'n' roll, again features a diverse lineup that includes rock (Blackberry Smoke), old-school rap (Ice Cube), bluegrass (The Bluegrass Situation Superjam hosted by Ed Helm) blues (Tedeschi Trucks Band, jamband (Umphrey's McGee) and comedy (Killem).
