Red Bank police search for stabbing suspect

Red Bank police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who is accused of stabbing another man who reportedly had been texting his girlfriend.

The stabbing took place just before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday at 3705 Lamar Ave., said Red Bank Police Chief Tim Christol.

Warrants have been issued for 23-year-old Steven James Conner.

The man who sustained wounds was treated for non-life threatening injuries, Christol said.

“If anybody knows where he is, we would be happy to offer him some accomodation for the evening,” Christol said.

Conner was previously arrested by Red Bank police in May for domestic assualt and vandalism.

Anyone with information about Conner’s whereabouts is asked to call Red Bank police at 423-875-0167.
