Planning a wedding? Why waste time driving around town to comparison-shop when you could just visit all your favorite bridal vendors in one convenient location this Sunday, Feb. 23?
Bridal Affair, the annual bridal expo sponsored by the Chattanooga Times Free Press, will feature more than 100 vendors offering everything from cakes, gowns, photographers and formalwear to more than two dozen venues.
Brides-to-be are invited to bring their moms, bridesmaids, fiances and friends to sample cakes, sign up for giveaways and discounts, and get advice from professionals on hand to help create their dream weddings. At 5 p.m., fashions for the bridal party will be presented by Boutique Couture, David's Bridal, Giorgio's, Men's Wearhouse, Monica's and Ever After Bridal and Formal Wear of Cleveland, Tenn. Hair and makeup for the fashion show will be done by Epiphany Salon and Spa.
"We have quality vendors who come to this show. If you got engaged over Valentine's, this is a good way to start planning your wedding," suggests Lyndsi Lane, marketing manager for the Times Free Press.
Lane says that new to this expo will be signature apparel for the bride.
"We will sell different styles of shirts with 'bride' spelled out in rhinestones," she says. "Prices vary depending on the apparel."
All brides attending may register for giveaways that include a romantic getaway package to Gaylord Opryland, a free room rental at The Walden Club, $50 gift cards from Easy Bistro, 10 percent off a floral arrangement from Designs by Melia, 20 percent off wedding and groom's cake from Sweet Angel Cakes, gift basket and massage certificate from Weddings at South Branch Stables and $100 certificate toward reception DJ service from Sensational Ceremonies. The Chattanoogan hotel will be giving away a Saturday night stay and VIP package.
Before the expo closes, one lucky couple will walk away with a seven-night honeymoon cruise provided by Universal Travel. The winner will be drawn just before the 5 p.m. bridal fashion show, and that bride must be present to win.
