Meyer named branch manager

Engineer Stephen Meyer is joining the national engineering firm of Alfred Benesch & Co. Meyer will serve as branch manager and senior project manager for the Chattanooga office.

A graduate of Central High School, Meyer earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and his master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Meyer has more than 40 years of experience in the engineering industry, focusing on transportation engineering, systems designs and implementation of transportation strategies. He is a registered professional engineer in 15 states and Washington D.C.

"My entire career has been about progress through collaboration," said Meyer, who specializes in large-scale program management. "I am honored to work with a company who shares my professional vision."


CRI receives excellence award

CRI, a Chattanooga-based provider of business communication solutions, has received ShoreTel's Circle of Excellence Award for 2013.

The award recognizes CRI for exceptional achievement in areas including customer satisfaction, revenue growth and proficiency with advanced applications. ShoreTel Inc. is the leading provider of brilliantly simple unified communications solutions.

This marks the third time that CRI has received the ShoreTel Circle of Excellence Award. This year, CRI was ranked 5th among all U.S. ShoreTel providers, which is the highest ShoreTel ranking CRI has ever achieved.

"We are proud to partner with ShoreTel to offer industry leading unified communications solutions for our clients," said Alan Burdine, president and chief operating officer of CRI.

The Circle of Excellence Award is presented to ShoreTel's top global reseller partners, and each year less than one-half of one percent of all partners earn this distinction.


Domanski joins Tenn-Am Water

Gayle Domanski has been named business development manager for the Tennessee and Georgia markets served by Tennessee American Water Co., a subsidiary of American Water. Domanski joins the Chattanooga water utility after more than 20 years of experience in corporate and consumer relationship marketing at American Express, Wal-Mart and Craftworks.

"With a strong expertise in data-driven, long-term strategic planning, Gayle is a welcome addition to Tennessee American Water," Tennessee American President Deron Allen said. "Her strong background in marketing and strategic planning fits well with Tennessee American Water's nearly 130-year history in the Chattanooga area."

Domanski holds a Master's of Science degree in International/Intercultural Communications and a Bachelor of Art degree in history. She is an active member of the Network of Executive Women and several marketing associations.


King joins HHM as supervisor

Alan King has joined the local accounting firm of Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC, as a supervisor accountant. King will be responsible for accounting and tax work with clients, including planning, preparing, and consulting. "Alan has experience in dealing with a wide range of clients including issues unique to larger manufacturers, such as multi-state taxation and compliance," said Trip Farmer.

Previous to HHM, King served as manager at Winter & Scoggins of Dalton, Ga., where he was charged with completing engagements across the full spectrum of accounting services. Previous to that, he served at McKee Foods as a tax manager who was responsible for income tax compliance. He is president of the Northwest Georgia Society of CPAs, which coordinates continuing professional education activities and mentors accounting students. King earned his master's degree of accountancy from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, as well as his bachelor of science in business administration.


Goode joins Claris Networks
