For the second time in several hours today, Chattanooga firefighters have responded to a duplex fire.
The first duplex fire today occurred at 5:46 a.m. on Arlena Circle. The cause of that fire was linked to an electrical malfunction.
The second fire was at 1314 Mayfield Lane around 7:30 a.m.
The fire appeared to have started around the back door. Firefighters were able to get the fire out in less than 10 minutes. No injuries were reported. The loss is estimated at $3,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
