Sheriff: Meth found on burglary suspect during jail search

Authorities say meth and drug paraphernalia was found on a burglary suspect while he was being searched upon admittance to the Jackson County, Ala., Jail.

51-year-old David Jerrell Steele had been charged with third degree burglary of a home on County Road 45 in Fackler this morning.

Later, Lt. Craig Holcomb located the suspect in the 300 block of County Road 45 in Fackler. The stolen property from the burglary was located on the suspect, according to a news release.

Additional charges of unlawful possession of controlled substances, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia have been added.
