Taco Mac on Market Street will close for two weeks beginning Monday to complete the first half of renovations. When the job is completed, the 16-year-old restaurant will feature 96 beers on draft, twice as much seating, two times the number of HDTVs and a new menu. A grand reopening is set for mid-August, according to a news release, from TM Restaurant Group.
Once completed, the new space will feature 6,700 square feet of redesigned interior space. The restaurant's seating capacity will increase by 50 percent to accommodate 270 guests with indoor seating and two outdoor seating patios.T
The new space will also offer a first for the area, with three European-designed rotating booths. They can seat eight guests each, and feature a stationary table with seating that rotates 360 degrees for easy in and out. Long a popular place to watch sports on TV, the new Taco Mac will offer 63 large screen LED HDTVs.
"After 16 years, it's time to refresh this Taco Mac," said Bob Campbell, TM Restaurants CEO.
