KNOXVILLE - Tennessee freshman lineman Charles Mosley was injured in a car accident on Sunday, and the Volunteers are awaiting word on the extent of Mosley's injury.

In a text message to the Times Free Press on Sunday night, Tennessee coach Butch Jones said the Vols were "awaiting further details" on Mosley's situation.

The 6-foot-5, 374-pounder played at Brighton High School outside of Memphis and signed with the Vols in February before enrolling for summer classes in late May.

Mosley was rated as a four-star prospect by 247sports and Scout and finished his senior season with 20 tackles for loss, eight sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Though he played on both the offensive and defensive lines in high school, he was set to begin his Tennessee career at defensive tackle.
