Police identify Knoxville woman killed when church bus ran red light

KNOXVILLE - Authorities identified a Knoxville woman killed Thursday when an Indiana church bus ran a red light and slammed into her vehicle.

Jewell Winton, 54, of Knoxville, died in the 5:20 p.m. crash, according to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk.

Winton was driving a 2014 Kia Rio that was struck on the passenger side when a school bus converted to for use by an Indiana church ran a red light at the intersection of Broadway and Oglewood Avenue.
