The Chattanooga Lookouts' taste of victory was short-lived as they dropped a 6-4 decision Thursday night to Montgomery at AT&T Field.
Kes Carter's RBI bunt single in the fourth inning put the Biscuits up 2-1, and Ryan Brett's two-run single to center field later that inning extended their lead to 4-1. Thursday's game had an announced crowd of 2,298.
Chattanooga, which topped the Biscuits 6-5 on Wednesday afternoon, lost for the seventh time in eight games to drop to 11-21 in the Southern League's second half. The Lookouts are 37-65 overall.
The Lookouts took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Darnell Sweeney singled, advanced on a Noel Cuevas single and scored on a Biscuits throwing error.
Montgomery added to its 4-1 lead in the fifth inning when Alejandro Segovia homered to left and Cameron Seltzer doubled and scored on Jeff Malm's single to left. The Lookouts trailed 6-1 in the sixth but got within 6-3 on O'Koyea Dickson's two-run home run to left.
Sweeney tripled to right in the seventh and scored on a groundout to make it 6-4.
