Q: Dad, if you had a choice between a part-time job working retail or one in a restaurant, which would you choose?
A: I've done both and, like I've always said, everyone should have to do the same. You learn a lot about how to deal with people in both places, and you learn how not to act as a member of the human race. Both can be great experiences, so I'd go with the one that pays the best and, if they are similar, go with the one that works best with your schedule.
