CLAYTON, Ga. - One person has been killed in a small plane crash in north Georgia.
The director of Rabun County's Emergency Management Agency, Mike Mazarky, said the plane crashed Saturday morning after taking off from a private airport west of Clayton.
Mazarky told WSB-TV that the pilot was killed. The plane carried no other passengers.
Investigators at the Federal Aviation Administration are heading to the crash site.
