The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. Z-man, you expose your ignorance by claiming that entire countries hate Israel.

Israel is hated for the most part by Palestinians, who have amassed some supporters to their cause. The Ayatollah of Iran? Now there's a man to fear. He's been spewing that same garbage for decades and to this date, he has done nothing.

Israel is only David because of the assistance of the United States, which in and of itself is one reason why we are hated by many in the Middle East.

The wars and the casualties of innocent lives in Iraq and Afghanistan have ticked off a whole new generation of people who want revenge against this nation.

Nobody likes a bully, and the United States has amassed a reputation as one of the worst bullies on record. Some of you believe that the world fears the wrath of the United States.

What do the citizens of the United States fear? They fear terrorism. Many, if not most Americans, would love to nothing more than for a little ethnic cleansing to take place in this nation.

This world will not be destroyed by God. The inhabitants are doing a good job of taking care of that all by themselves.

Go ahead and elect some more Republicans. They love pissing off people as much as they love keeping this nation at war.

They are called CMUs, or Communication Management Units. They primarily house Muslims falsely accused of terrorism, for such assinine reasons of criticizing U.S foreign policies. Or what we normally refer to as exercising freedom of speech guaranteed under the constitution . Tarek Mehanna is such a person sentenced ton7 years as a CMU for criticizing American foreign policy. Z-man has repeatedly posted: "On the other hand Israel in an inclusive democracy."

Zionists are inclusive? By what definition? Zionists are absolutely the most racist of people on this planet. I'll bet you weren't even aware that there are Christian Zionists.

Before the late 1800's, Jews didn't seem to have any interest in moving Palestinians off of land they suddenly believed to be theirs.

The stated goal when Zionists started making claim to the lands, was to establish a State of Palestine in conjunction with the impending repossession, if you will, of Gaza and Jerusalem.

We all see how far that went, even though it has been a sticking point for almost an eon now. With the assistance of the United States, which is another reason why we are under threat of attack by terrorists, the Zionists kicked the Palestinians off of the land and have been responsible for a denial of rights, dispossession and expulsion of the indigenous population of Palestine.

If you want a reason why we have people mad at us from the Middle East, 1948 was a violent year for many American notables, when we meddled in that region of the world. Several assassinations took place of Americans in the newly formed Israel.

That anger has filtered down for generations, and it will continue to fester and simmer, so long as some middle ground is not met with respect to certain lands that Israel currently occupies, and has seized in violation of agreements that go back to years before many of us were born.

I can blame the Palestinians for starting skirmishes, but at the same time, I understand WHY they are doing it. I understand their hatred for the United States and Israel.

When one steps back and considers both sides of this, what was done to the people of the former Palestine, was not right at all.

One can argue all day long that the Palestinians didn't belong there, but how long had they inhabited those lands prior to 1948?

200, 300, 400 years or longer?

And because of Hitler, the United Nations, at the insistence of Christian and Jewish Zionists, decided to relocate and to carve out a home for Jews in the holiest city in the entire world?

To my thinking, how could anyone believe that this was a viable solution, and that it would not cause problems in the Middle East.

All of my life, it seems that at least twice a year, something is going on between the Arab world and Israel.

What were they thinking?

Fairmon wrote: "You need to go back further. It sounds like you are saying you understand the desire of Palestine, Iran and others belief that all Jews should be killed, removed from the face of the earth."

Focus on the fact that it is the leaders of Iran and the former leader of Iraq who have considered Israel worthy of death and not the citizens within those nations.

It's not as if there are anti-Israel rallies going on in Iran, Iraq, or anywhere else every day, or ever, that I can recall.

The only group of people, as a whole, who have a burning issue with Israel are the Palestinians and their immediate supporters, which we know as Hamas.

Propagandists make it sound as if the entire Middle East wants to wipe out Israel and that each nation surrounding it has missiles aimed at it.

I have no doubt that there are plenty who would turn a blind eye to anything done to facilitate their removal from those lands, but to say that everyone over there desires to annihilate Israel is simply not true.

I still go back to the question, "what were they thinking?" when Zionists, both here and over there, decided to plant themselves on lands that Jews had no occupied for centuries, and how did anyone think it would not cause problems?

Now Connie offered up an interesting comment this morning. He stated that God promised the Jews that land.

I wonder where God was for the centuries that the land was called Palestine? We gentiles were not promised land, but our ancestors came here and killed the indigenous people or kicked them off of it over the years and now we all reside in the United States.

I guess land rights are different over there in the Middle East.

Sooner or later that problem that the United States has had a great big hand in, is going to explode like a million kegs of dynamite.

Israel may indeed be no more.

From the Nixon tapes, Bob Jones University Bigot Billy Graham offers his views of Jews.

Billy Graham — "But I have to lean a little bit, you know. I go and see friend of Mr. Rosenthal at The New York Times, and people of that sort. And all, I don't mean all the Jews, but a lot of the Jews are great friends of mine. They swarm around me and are friendly to me. Because they know I am friendly to Israel and so forth. They don't know how I really feel about what they're doing to this country. And I have no power and no way to handle them."

Nixon says, "You must not let them know."

The conversation turns to religious magazines, postal rates and Nixon's uncharitable thoughts on certain Cabinet members. Graham then leaves and, a few minutes later, Nixon tells Haldeman, "You know it was good we got this point about the Jews across."

"It's a shocking point," says Haldeman, a frequent cheerleader during Nixon's negative diatribes.

"Well," says Nixon, "it's also, the Jews are irreligious, atheistic, immoral bunch of bastards."

Ah, the great Christian fundamentalist love of Jews as expressed by Nixon and Billy Graham.

Good cartoon today Clay. A perfect analogy.

In this on again – off again conflict, both sides have the same aim: to put an end to a situation that existed before it started. To put an end to the launching of rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip. And conversely; To put an end to the blockade of the Gaza Strip (the new Warsaw Ghetto) by Israel - and Egypt. Once And For All!

Except that neither side has a strategy other than terrorizing the civilian population of the other side.

Remember not long ago something called the Arab Spring? It was an uprising against the corrupt, oppressive and shameless Arab elites. Make no mistake; identification with the forsaken Palestinians was an important part of this. But now, for the first time, almost all Arab governments (not their general population) have begun tacitly supporting Israel. For young Arabs that viewed the Arab Spring as nationalist redemption, this is an act of shameful humiliation.

What has happened now is, from the point of view of today’s young Arabs, worse - much worse. Egyptian generals (now Israeli subcontractors), Saudi(ptui)princes, Kuwaiti emirs and their contemporaries throughout the region stand before their younger generation naked and contemptible, while the Hamas fighters are looking like shining examples to be emulated.

It’s plainly obvious that neither side can compel the other side to capitulate. Thus proving out what history that has shown time and again, that terrorizing a population causes it to unite behind its leaders and hate the enemy even more. In this case I believe, unfortunately, may lead to an even more radical Islamism.

Wash –rinse - repeat.

July 26, 2014 at 11:53 a.m.

Diversion, allah. What does that have to with the situation at hand? Absolutely nothing.

Alprova, you gotta be kidding. Hamas is using "Palestinians" as human shields to protect their weapons.

The propaganda and diversion on here is ridiculous.

These are the facts: Hamas will not stop shooting rockets into Israel. Causing citizens to have to hide in bunkers, and fear for their lives. Hamas has called repeatedly for the death of all Jews and for the destruction of the state of Israel.

They've said over and over again. They were overwhelmingly voted into power by the "Palestinian" people. They want them to represent them.

You can post all you want about the negative views of others, and stuff about Christians, etc., but it has nothing to do with the current situation. Nothing. Hamas wants all Jews dead, period.

It certainly is. I urge some of you to understand BOTH SIDES of the issue before coming down on one side or the other.

"These are the facts: Hamas will not stop shooting rockets into Israel. Causing citizens to have to hide in bunkers, and fear for their lives. Hamas has called repeatedly for the death of all Jews and for the destruction of the state of Israel."

Your full of propoganda endorsed by many in the United States, but your facts are overblown, misleading, and in many cases, outright lies.

"They've said over and over again. They were overwhelmingly voted into power by the "Palestinian" people. They want them to represent them."

If Israel wants peace, then they should come to the table to seriously negotiate land access and sea access.

"You can post all you want about the negative views of others, and stuff about Christians, etc., but it has nothing to do with the current situation. Nothing. Hamas wants all Jews dead, period."

Well if you ask me, given the body counts, it appears the Israel is determined to kill all the Palestinians.

"It is utter blasphemy to claim that God came out of a women like all people, it is utter blasphemy to claim God came out crying and screaming and being helpless and weak."

"Such nonsense is insulting to God; this itself is enough to prove Jesus is not God. How can you claim that God came out of a woman?"

"Are you mad? Are you insane? How can you insult God in such a manner? Some of you Christians should be ashamed of yourselves for ascribing such rubbish to God."

Mr. Anthony Provancher an open anti Christ and constant blasphemer wrote every word of those quotes above.

You have to be delusional, or you just don't like Israel for political reasons, if you believe at all that it doesn't matter who wins, and that Israel is on the same level with any of these radical Islamist states, which are being run by savages and psychopaths.

Take Israel out of the Middle East and it's a sorry place full of lunatics who want to go back to the middle ages, for the most part. Israel is the only inclusive, Democratic country there. There's only one religion that will kill you if you don't convert.

How does the world benefit from Israel being wiped out and having it taken over by radical Muslims? You have to be nuts if you think that's preferable or it doesn't matter one way or the other.

Radical Islam is not good for the world, period.

Gauss, Connie can't understand the implication of your question on who is saved or not concerning Judaism and Christianity, she/he is too focused on being repulsed by a few PARTICULAR sins rather than the scope of forgiveness and the question is too frightening for him/ her to deal with (except in large font caps, as if yelling loud enough will blind her ears to the truth.)

You never did come up with a name of someone who was saved by doing good works or being a good person.

What makes you believe that you will be the only one?

The poster in this forum, known as "The Jack Dennis" has a seriously sordid past...one he has confessed to in this very forum to being Jack Dana Dennis, a three time convicted pedophile.

He will not and cannot provide any recantation to his confession of May 18, 2014.

Do you really want to discuss anything with a confessed pedophile?

Why don't you quote the verse and make a point?

Do you really think anyone you are trying to sway reads the Bible?

" certainly none of her rambling on Paul 's tackling Greek mythology and it's worship practices."

Never once wrote a word on any of that. Who knows what you are trying to do there. I doubt even you do.

You lied, again!

How sad her biblical history is so shallow she can't appreciate who Paul was talking to in Corinthians as she quotes his words. Hopefully it gives impressionable minds some encouragement to pause and wonder where she is coming from as they seek understanding.

Connie asked: "Now, tell us how one may not be sorely "disappointed" as you put it."

That's between you and God and no one else. You getting right with God and his Son (note that I did not call them one and the same) doesn't have to take place in a Church in front of an entire congregation of people.

From what you write Connie, I'm having doubts that you have ever prayed to God or Jesus.

You are the most unsettled person I have ever encountered, claiming to walk with God.

I hope you work on that, because your posting my words repeatedly isn't putting you in God's good graces, I assure you.

You will only serve God if you start refuting and addressing my words with scripture that negates my stances on the Bible.

I have posted my proof repeatedly, which you ignore completely, even though it is directly quoted from the Bible.

Are you that ill equipped to defend your religious views.

If so, then you are not a thing you claim to be. You're Godless.

Inquiringmind, Connie routinely takes scripture totally out of the context it is presented, and in the case where one can clearly show that the scripture does not apply to modern man, he slips into stealth mode and pretends he didn't type what he knows he typed.

His infamous quote that includes a very loosely translated word that he believes to be homosexual that Moses allegedly wrote instructing the Levites who entered the Temple is one perfect example. He knows it only applied to the Levites, but he claimed by some machination in his mind that Gentiles are required to honor such commandments too.

In the same section of Leviticus, 176 other sins are mentioned that he completely ignores, knowing that they did not apply to modern man, but the ONE "abominable" sin of homosexuality stands for all time, for all people and each and every homosexual will burn, burn, burn.

He makes up his own Biblical context much of the time.

It's a losing battle to try and have a conversation or debate with the man, because when he is totally cornered, he ignores what people write.

He's absolutely a legend in his own mind and I fear he is as Godless as can be.

ConMan, I'm going to take you unwillingness to answer my question as a "NO". So let me get this straight, Jews are "God's people" and we should fight and defend Israel to the death, yet, Jews aren't worthy of an afterlife with ConMan and Co.? As a matter of fact, ConMan believes Jews will find the same eternal resting place as the Palestinians (and I'm sure Fister believes the same). Seems like a f'd up stance to defend, but I'm all ears.

That is a false statement and totally untrue. UAE is a wonderful country, that I have visited on a few occasions. Jordan is also not a "place full of lunatics". And I didn't see many "lunatics" in a couple of visits to Qatar.

Alprova: let me ask you a question. Actually a couple of questions. 1. Do you believe in the justice system in this country at all? 2. This man "Jack the Dennis" is supposedly a convicted sex offender. Is the reason you keep reminding everyone of that because you don't think we get it, or do you just want to torture him? 3. If you DO believe in the justice system and what you say about him is true, then I can only assume that he's done some time in prison. If so, then why can't everyone just let the man pay his debt and stop punishing him and leave him the hell alone?

I have to agree. This is a stupid cartoon. And Clay Bennett is a stupid cartoonist. Also, he's bigoted and crude. I don't believe that being an Army brat accounts for as many schools as he's been in, or as many publications as he's worked for. As bad as he was, Bruce Plante was better than Bennett.

How can anyone miss who the barbarians in Gaza are, and who the civilized people trying to defend themselves are? Just ask yourself who the ones are who are using people to defend their missiles, and who the ones are that are using missiles to defend people? If you can't see who's who from THAT then there is NO HOPE for you.
