DECATUR, Ala. - Police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide shooting in Decatur that left a husband dead and his wife injured.

Investigators told Al.com that a man shot his wife, then turned the gun on himself Friday night.

Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn said the man was pronounced dead at Decatur Morgan General. Authorities said the wife was flown to Huntsville Hospital and reported in critical condition late Friday.

Police have not yet released the names of the victims.
