Members of biker gang shot; rival bikers charged with attempted murder

ATHENS, Tenn. - Police say two bikers were injured in a shootout between rival clubs in Athens.

According to WRCB-TV, Athens police said a fight between members of the Widowmaker-Outlaws biker club and Heathens-Nomad biker club broke out at an Applebees in Athens just before midnight Friday.

Officers later responded to a report of shots fired at a Kangaroo convenience store and gas station.

Witnesses told officers that members of the Outlaws pulled into the station. They were followed by a Chevy Tahoe carrying members of the Heathens club, and a shootout ensued.

Two bikers were shot. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Four suspects were arrested a short time later and charged with attempted first degree murder.
